Selena Gomez Is Suffering From Lupus

U.S. actress and vocalist Selena Gomez, who suspended the January live performances in Australia and Asia of her "Stars promenade" tour, has been pain for some years from lupus, an autoimmune infection, the online amusement report site Popdust said.

"Sources close to the vocalist notify Popdust that Selena was identified with lupus a twosome of years before and that she has suffered multiple 'flares' recently, initating facial enlarging, farthest fatigue, headaches and junction pain," the world wide web site said on Friday.

One of the causes, according to Popdust, said that "Selena has been going full throttle the past couple of years and her lupus is really catching up with her right now."

Other U.S. newspapers, citing the same report source, note that Gomez's reps have not answered to questions about the artist's status.

Last week it was announced that Selena Gomez, 21, would hover the live performances scheduled for early January on the last stage of her trip.

A statement by the songstress released at the same time said she liked to take some time to address the disease and gaze after herself better if she wants to "live a full and wholesome life."

"My followers are so significant to me and I would not ever desire to let down them," Gomez said in the statement. "But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after numerous years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in alignment to be the best person I can be."

Lupus is a infection in which the immune scheme attacks, inflames and damages the body's units and tissues.

According to the U.S. Lupus Foundation, the infection is most prevalent amidst very dark, Hispanic, Native American and Asian women between ages 15-35.
